Afghan Girl

Steve McCurry from National Geographic Magazine captured the girl, as a 12 year old girl, she walked a couple of weeks to a refugee camp. She survived the camp and Steve found her 17 years later. Also, follow the "refugee art" link to see how my y5's drew her during our Refugee-week.

School...Refugee art

As part of Refugee Week, we were looking at refugees and had a great discussion about the difficulties they have in different parts of the world, how they feel and what their needs are. Some children in our school come from those countries in Africa where circumstances forced them to flee their countries.
