Chain ladders to get to the top of Mount Aux Sources! I was on this ladder when I was 15....with a school trip! The wind was blowing and it was quite scary with everything on your back. Mount Aux Sources is the highest peak in the Drakensberg mountains. "Drakensberg" means basically "monstrous mountains"...and that is really what it is...the whole range...from the North of the country....it stretches to the South...Mount Aux Sources is about 4200 m. Devil's Tooth is just opposite Mount Aux Sources. There is a hut, but the thatched roof was blown off by strong winds...but at least we had some tents with us and some of us just slept in the open! It also rained that night...!
