Afghan Girl

Steve McCurry from National Geographic Magazine captured the girl, as a 12 year old girl, she walked a couple of weeks to a refugee camp. She survived the camp and Steve found her 17 years later. Also, follow the "refugee art" link to see how my y5's drew her during our Refugee-week.

I saw this pic some years ago, i was so struck by her face and her , eyes i drew a picture of her, i didnt know it was a National Geograpic front cover !!!
